This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Museverse on Meta Quest and other supported XR platforms.

By using Museverse, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our app.

All Museverse data is stored locally on your Meta Quest device:

  • Day streak count (consecutive days of app usage)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any servers.

2.2 Information from Meta Platform

When you use Museverse through Meta Quest, Meta provides us with:

  • Meta User ID (anonymized identifier)
  • Display name (if you choose to share)
  • Achievement data
  • Purchase history for Museverse content only

This information is provided by Meta according to their platform policies and is used solely to enable app functionality.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect or Transmit

  • Personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
  • Age or demographic information
  • Account registration information
  • Real names or usernames (beyond Meta display name)
  • Location data
  • Biometric data
  • Voice recordings
  • Camera recordings
  • Personal photographs
  • Payment information (handled by Meta Store)
  • Data from other apps on your device
  • Educational institution information

Any data stored locally is never transmitted to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

All learning progress and day streak data remains on your device and is used solely to:

3.2 Meta Platform Data

Information provided by Meta is used only to:

  • Enable app functionality within the Meta Quest ecosystem

Since all progress data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, we cannot and do not share this information with anyone.

4.2 Meta Platform Integration

The only data exchange occurs between your device and Meta's platform services for:

  • Enabling app purchases
  • Achievement synchronization
  • Basic app functionality

This data flow is governed by Meta's privacy policies and platform requirements.

  • All progress data is stored exclusively on your Meta Quest device
  • No cloud storage or external servers are used
  • Data remains under your direct control
  • Data is protected by Meta Quest's device-level security
  • No data transmission means no interception risk
  • Access controlled by your device settings and permissions

6. Your Rights and Choices

All your progress data is stored locally on your device and can be viewed within Museverse at any time.

You can delete all Museverse data through your Meta Quest system:

  1. Go to Meta Quest Settings
  2. Navigate to Storage
  3. Select Museverse
  4. Choose "Delete App Data" or "Uninstall"

This will permanently remove all progress and day streak data. There is no fee for deletion, and it is immediate and irreversible.

7. Children's Privacy

Museverse is designed for users of all ages, including children in educational settings.

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from users of any age. The app operates without requiring any personal data. Progress data is stored locally on the device, and there are no social features or communication capabilities.

8. International Data Transfers

Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to servers, there are no international data transfers. Users worldwide can use Museverse with the assurance that their data remains on their own device.
